Who we are
Smart Nurse CPD is a new platform that has been developed to support enrolled and registered nurses to gain their annual requirements of continuous professional development.
The courses also support those nurses who are transitioning to a specialised area of nursing and in this case operating theatre. Peri-operative nursing is quite different from ward nursing and therefore nurses who visit theatre for the first time get confused and wonder where to start.
The courses on this site will support nurses who are either new or looking at joining theatre team to learn the basics of anaesthetic nursing based on what happens on the site. Jane has a strong background in general, anaesthetic nursing and nurse education. Through mentoring of young students and nurses joining nursing and theatre team, she decided to develop simple courses which could be of help to those interested to anaesthetic nursing.
Jane holds a Master of Nursing Practice and practices as a Registered Nurse. She also has a Master of Business Management from Monash University. A certificate IV Training and Assessment and is also an author.
